ROCÍO & ÁLEX

The match of our lives

HACIENDA JACARANDA, MIRAFLORES DE LA SIERRA (MADRID)

Some stories are best understood when associated with a specific place. For Rocío and Álex, two cities spoke for them: Madrid and Barcelona. The journey between the two inspired a delicate stationery suite featuring subtle nods to their story.

For their big day, we designed a tri-fold wedding invitation—one of our favorite options because it strikes the perfect balance between design and functionality. Its format allows all key wedding information to be presented clearly and neatly, without compromising on a polished, personalized aesthetic.

The cover featured a watercolor of the Hacienda Jacaranda, the venue where they would celebrate their wedding. Inside, there was space for a very special message to their guests, a timeline of the day’s key moments, bus schedules, and all the information needed for every guest to enjoy the celebration.

All of this was complemented by a visual identity created specifically for them.

The envelopes, in a delicate cadet blue hue, were sealed with a wax seal customized with the couple's logo. Inside, they held one of our favorite details: a watercolor painting linking Madrid and Barcelona through water, connecting the pond in El Retiro Park with the W Hotel in Barceloneta.

As a final touch, we hand-lettered each envelope using blue India ink, adding an artisanal finish that made every invitation even more special.

For the wedding day stationery, we shifted the setting without losing the wedding's essence. Rocío and Álex’s great passion for football inspired the design of the seating plan and table cards, all illustrated in traditional watercolor featuring some of the most iconic stadiums.

A unique concept that managed to surprise the guests and demonstrate that any hobby can become a source of inspiration when adapted with sensitivity and good design.

We also had the opportunity to travel to the estate to personally set up all the signage.

Seeing each piece in place and being part of the preparations for the big day was the best way to wrap up the project.
